Countertop selection help

We can’t decide what countertop to select for our farmhouse kitchen reno. We’ve already selected flooring (warm wood), cabinets (white IKEA shaker), handles (brushed nickel) sink + appliances (stainless steel), and wall colour (Chantilly Lace). We are deciding between MSI Calacatta Rusta or Wilsonart Savanah Drift. We’d love all thoughts and considerations! Thank you :)

Or do we go with something more simple / less veining like Viatera Moonstone or Silestone Linen Cream?

i like the more simple ones because the backsplash will be easier as far as a pattern/ some color or whatever. Farmhouse means you want something like that .

these are a bit much but the point...BACKSPLASH yet to play in the mix where your personality and style tilt can be shown. .

Neither of the countertops in your top picture, seem to be the right white to go with your cabinets. I would wait until those cabinets are installed, and then pick a countertop, and that way, you can see what they will look like with your lighting, and your cabinets.

White cabinets, white countertop, white walls. Too much white...maybe?

How come when I say it I get blasted for it? LOL!

Clearly people have opinions on quartz! One of the things I don’t love about it is that it can only be minimally repaired, whereas a solid surface (e.g., Corian) countertop can be fully and seamlessly repaired. But it sounds like you’ve chosen your material and are looking for some feedback on color and veining. I’m in the less-is-more camp with herb. I prefer the Moonstone and Linen Cream with your materials. That said, I was about to recommend that you start collecting inspiration images now that can help you make choices down the road (it can be a big help) and the two images I found for you below both use marble. You may have already ruled marble out, but I thought I’d mention it just in case.

    Good luck!

There are thousands of kitchens with your combination of white shaker cabinets, wood flooring and white counter tops. If you want a farmhouse feel, add something organic to the mix--beams, soapstone, brick, handmade tile. It's difficult to see the overall patterns of the quartz styles you posted since the samples are so small. You might want to go to a stone yard that has large slabs to get a better idea of how it will look on a large scale. As far as color goes, I wouldn't use bright white. Something a bit off-white is more farmhouse-y and rustic.

Also, nickel hardware is a bit too formal for a farmhouse/rustic look. You might consider something like unpolished brass, which will age and patina over time, or hammered iron, oil-rubbed bronze, aged pewter or matte black.

You aren't showing what the BM Chantilly Lace wall color would look like with your white cabinets. It might be too much white, unless it was a modern sleek kitchen and house.

    Wall color gets chosen last.
