DIY? If pro IMO forget it those are really dated cabinets and honestly not worth the huge effort of DIY or the huge $$$$$$ of a pro. Super clean and save to do a nice new kitchen with nice cabinets with all drawers on the bases so much better bang for your buck A proper hood fro the range a counter depth fridge , better lighting too.

I agree with Patricia. New kitchen cabinets and take all the way to the ceiling like your laundry room. The top cabinet shelves are great for storing seldom used items, and bonus, no yucky dust to clean from the top.

You are matching your paint to the counters and backsplash. You need to match it to the counter, splash, AND the floor. The samples you are showing look cool and grey. But maybe they are not showing well on my monitor? Tape your samples to flat surfaces so the light hits them in the same orientation they hit a cabinet.

Are you DIYing this? It is a LOT of work to fill the oak grain so it doesn't show through and to get a factory finish like paint job that won't chip and ding. If you are hiring a pro, I imagine the cost to do this is sizable enough that it makes more sense to save to get new cabinets instead. If their price is that much lower, then they likely are not getting you a factory finish type job that will have longevity.

Is that sample panel a sample of one of your actual doors?
