The Americans are going to want a floor plan labelled in inches and they won’t let it go. Do you need the toilet in its own room? If not it really opens up options.

Does the A/C closet have to stay?

If you can, I'd move the toilet to the A/C spot and move the A/C to the toilet. That moves the toilet closer to the sink, which is better for hygiene.

I'd put a new door between the wall with the stairs and the door to the bedroom. Keeping only one of either will result in some awkward passages, keeping both means both need to be locked when in use.

Sorry should've said, in the UK, although thought I posted on the UK site. We're knocking through toilet wall to make a bigger family bathroom, airing cupboard/boiler already gone/moved. As we merge the rooms we will obviously only have one door, my question was where to have it, keep one already in situ or resite to make the room square and gain extra bit of space.

Hard to fit shower with all the windows, unless we put it where the toilet was behind the door and build a false wall, or brick up loo window

Make a new singular door by the landing. Do you need the A/, closet thing? If not having that big space overall to work with gives you far more options. Take down the toilet wall
