I would paint the shutters and the porch floor charcoal. However, I would like to see the door just a bit brighter. I cant see a pink door on your house. A brighter color, that is one of your favorites would look nice. I would probably pick a turquoise, if it were my house.

What portion of the porch, charcoal?? I'd hope not the walls. did you mean the floor?

I'd not visually cut the house in half. If you don't like the particular "white" used on the house, that is different. Change

/paint the "white" !! I would keep it as a white! Do charcoal or black SHUTTERS and entry door, correctly size the upper shutters, ( the pink door, seems in conflict with the brick entry ) ...and add color to the landscaping: )

Some things are classic. Maybe you don't love the entire whatever it is "white" house color?

Pale gray/blue ? Deep rusty red door?

This is personal but I would remove the shutters on the porch, make the upper shutters larger, maybe just add a set from the lower. Charcoal would just put the porch in shadow all the time so no I would not do that. The door needs something overly bright to show in the shadows. It is only paint so go with your pink but more of a salmon so it does not clash with the brick walkway. Potted plants or flowering bushes as well.

Your white on my monitor is a very very blueish white. With the deep green of the shutter, it DOES feel like a miss. If you can't paint the body of the house, want "charcoal" shutters,the shade has to be very cool end of the spectrum, and hint at the blue..Then pop the door...

IMO no shutters at least on the windows I can actually see they do not belong on double windows at all. Since the steps are brick maybe anice green for the siding with the white windows and those pillars seem wroong for that house but maybe a regional thing. If you go the green then a nice coral color for the front door might work . Bigger planters on either side of the steps woulf be much better so you might need to sacrifice a bit of the landscaping there to do that , I think the larger planters could help balance those pillars .

Have you seen that color combination and liked it, as my first reaction is that it will feel patchy and not do your lovely home any favors. Instead of looking at each area individually, consider the big picture.

Be sure to complement the roof and brick and suggest painting the porch’s ceiling a soft, relaxing mid-tone blue and shutters the same or cut color in half (remove the upper shutters). I love the combo with a coral front door. Add even more interest with copper lighting and inviting accessories. It’s a classic combo you will not soon tire of.

The upstairs shutters do not belong. Double windows almost never look good with shutters.

Other than that, I think your home is beeUUtiful!

I'd keep the trim and porch white. I'd paint the shutters a deeper or brighter shade of the blue. I'd pick a very soft pink if I did that for the door. Then, I'd echo the pink in the landscaping. Roses, canna, impatiens. And maybe echo the pink in cushions on porch furniture. Or echo the shutter color.

It's a lovely house. Nice proportions, lots of interest, varied landscape. It doesn't need much "pizzazz".

The house is in Beaufort, SC so is in keeping with style here. I dislike the blue grey floor, like traditional "haunt blue" on ceiling and while I like blue, do not like the shade the former owner picked. Thank you for pointing out the door needs to work with the brick and great point on under-sized shutters. The landscaping has pink bushes parallel to porch now and blue daze flowers that are periwinkle edging the walk and lots of green anchored with a Sago Palm on each side. The small cement planters were here when we moved in. Unfortunately, it's not easy to photograph because of huge trees, Live Oaks etc around us.
