You have enough space. Just depends on your taste. We got a beautiful sleigh bed for my daughter and she hated it. The headboard was angled and ended up creating extra space and it really took over her room. Sold it right away

Seems to me everything in the room should be based on the position of the single window. Your chest/nightstand must be centered on the window, and then the bed position follows from that. You can't have the chest off center. Not sure what the custom bench is for. Looks like it will be a great place to drop clothes.
