I think I need more pics of the actual spaces you are talking about . IMO do not rush better to wait for another day to get a good plan inplace . Not sure how a china cabinets makes sense in a guest room at all, It is avery pretty cabinet though. I do not think you need more furniture .

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. You are right. I should take more time. I have taken an irrational dislike to that china cabinet so it has to go somewhere. Also, it doesn't work for me. I have a collection of blue and white and mostly flow blue china. It doesn't show up well in that cabinet, and the cabinet doesn't hold enough. I want the flow blue in open shelving. As far as china in the guest room, I have a fair amount of china. There is a set in my dining area but my bedroom and the guest room are the only other possibilities. I took some more pictures but I can't seem to unload them, and I am trying to cook for tomorrow. What do you think about a white built in bookcase? Just as bad? Maybe we can talk some more in the next few days. Enjoy your holiday!

Slow down. Take time to think this through. The china cabinet with the blue and white china is a beautiful piece of furniture but no, it doesn't show your china well. BUT, do all of your posessions need to be shown all of the time. What kind of storage do you have in your home? Basement, garage, attic? You can have a few blue and white pieces scattered about your home as decor and store the rest.

I think you need a big storage purge before figure out anything else.
