Love the Noguchi, had that exact same one but sadly had to return it. For some reason, perhaps because of where we live, it had a constant foggy look on the glass, even with daily ( ugh ) cleaning. Idk why, we have a few other glass top tables ( side ) without that problem.

If it were me, I’d avoid glass (a pain to keep clean), an ottoman (will add a heaviness), white (too stark), and not go too modern. If the aim is to make the overall space a bit more modern, they could duplicate the outside‘s feel and it would also connect the two areas.

To achieve: select a light wood, square coffee table with accessories and cushions that bring the outside in (suggestions below).

Consider adding a rug to ground the sectional and lighten/soften the room.

These are , every single one of them with a chaise , very difficult to make a cocktail look good.

If they’re keeping their existing pieces, choosing a modern coffee table that complements the rest of the Furniture is key. In a South Florida vacation home, light tones, natural wood, or glass work especially well because they feel airy and fresh. A minimalist design with clean lines can modernize the space without clashing with the current style.

In deep seating couches .. I find a narrow table behind the seating is sometimes more convenient to reach for drinks …also some trays conveniently available for snacks work better than a coffee table that is hard to reach while seated…

Also I would add more lumbar pillows than big or square ones as they add support needed in deep seating…

I would try a round nesting table that can be pulled farther apart when needed. No corners to knock knees maneuvering around it. Glass or marble or...

If the op wants concrete suggestions as to a size, proportion that works with the chaise sectional? The Op needs to provide the interior dimensions of that seating!

Yell if you like. These are the most difficult sectionals to work with.

You have a long side, a given interior width and a short side that is chaise.

INTO that space must fit a table long enough to look proportional to the long side and still allow access to the seating. Not less than 15" three sides of the table.

Bring in some blue or green and pick a coffee table that is more light looking not heavy like a lighter color maybe Beachwood would be nice or a lighter wood and if you like glass go with glass otherwise maybe pick a marble
