pavers selection

last month

I have 2 projects. changing the pavers in the shower area of the pool and also in the pool equipment area. The second project for the future change the pavers in the front of the house by the entrance. I want to pick a color and size paver that will go well with the existing pavers in the pool patio that are 8x8 and the colors in the pool area like the tile, coping and house walls. I have narrowed down to two choices from flagstone pavers the white tan charcoal color and the white tan color. They are modular pavers and we have 2 choices choice A. 9x9 9x12 9x15 B. 6x6 6x9

Why are you not keeping all the existing pavers? The appearance is so much more interesting than what you are proposing. The gray/blue on your home was a poor choice IMO and all the Colonial details with doors and iron lanterns just adds to the architectural confusion of your home. I'd figure out a way to replace all those arched windows.

You're in Florida with a house that leans Mediterranean. I would capitalize on that style and select details that enhance that style.

You asked why we aren’t keeping the current pavers, so I wanted to explain our reasoning.

The pavers in the shower area of the pool are a mix of different pieces. We had to replace several broken ones in the past, and since matching replacements were no longer available, we used whatever we could find at the time. Because of that, the area now has an inconsistent look.

We’re also planning to add pavers to the equipment area, and it seemed like the right time to update the shower area as well for consistency. Since we still can’t find an exact match to the original pavers, we felt it would be better to choose something new that looks intentional and cohesive.

Additionally, the front of the house has tiles—some of which are broken—and we’d like all the exterior hardscape areas to follow a consistent style that complements the home.

We purchased the home a few months ago, and the previous owners had just painted it. We don’t want to change the exterior color right now, but we might consider it in the future. With that in mind, we’d appreciate your input on which paver color and style would work well now, and what exterior house color you would recommend for the future to keep everything cohesive.

    Thank you,

Paint the house/stucco a soft white and pave the pool and walkways with the lightest, largest pavers available to you. Let the pool add the color and focal point.

That is beautiful, I love it! Can I keep my Owen Corning sand dune color roof ?

Find a light, single color paver that matches your "white" simple pool coping.

The ones you picked have too much color variations and won't look great with your current pavers.
