What size mirror over angled vanity?

last month

Replacing counters, lights, sinks, faucets, mirrors but keeping vanity. The sinks are centered with the cabinet doors below but shouldn’t mirrors be centered on the wall & with the lights? Should I go with wider mirrors but not the huge mirror?

We think they are glued to the wall. We see no clips but haven’t taken it down yet.

The counter seems to work well with the cabinets and floor, which you are keeping. Is the counter damaged?

Consider getting undermount sinks with the new countertop update. For mirrors, since you're going with less width, then center the mirror to the base cabinet since the sinks are already centered there. Looking at the blue tape for mirror placement, you can see that it throws off the aesthetic balance using the wall for centering.

I would focus on the countertop/backsplash and new sinks first. Then lighting gets centered over the new mirror placement. Can't tell if you have pot lights in the ceiling as well or if the vanity lights are the primary source.

i don’t love that the new mirrors seem off kilter from the sinks - the full mirror camouflages this more - unless you are able to line up lighting, mirror, faucet and cabinetry with the reno? hard to do on an angle

I assume you are looking at replacing the existing cut mirrors with new, framed mirrors? If so, then I would go with a little wider mirror than what you have taped out (closer to maximizing the available width on each of those walls). That way, the difference in centering will be much less noticeable to your eye.

Am kinda liking the size you have taped out for new mirrors.

The sinks are centered to the doors, but the lights and sinks are not aligned to the wall’s width, which is throwing things off even more.

This lighting in this area is off as well.

Suggest a rectangle undermount sink centered to wall’s width, including lighting and visually it will feel more balanced.

@emmarene9 the floors will be replaced next year along with tub & shower. Baby steps with the budget to spread out the cost. Counters are tile, outdated & stained.

@maureen everything is off. It’s just a mess . I guess they eyeballed some of these items but the sinks lined up properly.

@Norwood Architects I might go taller & skinner lined up with sinks with smaller lights above?

Sorry this is assbackwards next year you do the floor IMO this is when you stop and wait until you can lay the space out better then you won't ahve these issues You do not renovate a bathroom from one corner out This a gut to the studs done right from the beginning

Just keep saving your money and do the full bathroom remodel all at once.

So 2 tall skinny mirrors and the rest is drywall? try covering all the mirror except for where you will hang the 2 mirrors in butcher paper and see what you think -

Your floors need to go under the cabinets. So you are going to change all of this now just so you can take it all out again to do the floors?? I'm sorry but I disagree with this project. Save your money and do it all at one time.

The mirrors that are there right now look fine. The lights - not so much.

Also there is one offset outlet in the backsplash - I see the left vanity has one on the wall but still, the placement is odd.

You can't really spread out a project like this . JMO
