That can be tricky . You will hear a lot of designers saying not to mix hardwood and laminate but personally since it is going into bedrooms where there is a door and saddle separating them, I think it is ok.

Do you have any scaps of the existing floor? If so, take it with you ro make things easier. Although lighting in a store will be different than in your house. And a sample isn't a good indication of the likely variation you'll end up with. You should get a box to lay out at home for the finalists to see the full variation.

what you you suggest for baseboard? match it with existing trim in the house? yellow is sample that goes seamless, white sample is the trim i currently have all over in my home. Or the flat looks better without the needs to change any trim. thsnk you much.
