Makes perfect sense because matching colors in nature is so much easier than matching something that is... manmade? Ummm... No.

It seems like the manufacturer might have some color matching options here too - but this is not acceptable.

You can always use the "as long as you are good that I upload the picture here and you will be proud to feature it on your website and Google reviews as a true expectation of the quality of your finished product"... line.

Nope! If they chipped it, it's their problem to make it right, and that's not acceptable at all.

They need to fix it. that doesnt look good. i had a small chip in my quartz countertop in the bathroom, and they fixed it, and it looks great - i can’t even remember where it is. It’s appropriate thay they tried to fix it, but if it didn’t work, they need to replace the countertop. it was their mistake.

Their excuse re: how the fix doesn't match that well because it's quartz may be true - HOWEVER, that would only be applicable if you (or family member/guest/etc.) created the chip and you hired them fix it.

There is no way that I would accept a chipped countertop when I paid for a new one. Absolutely not.

You need an insert style repair, not the adhesive type they tried. I'd try to rip the edge off, reprofile, and polish. If they can't get to inconspicuous, it needs to be replaced. Sit on the balance until you're satisfied.
