Has anyone here ordered from https://www.rareflowerplant.com/ ? What are your thoughts? The website lists a rose I want. But I need more roses to order from the same provider. I never heard of this nursery, and they do not give a location and I do not see other contact info.

Google maps hasn't listed as the volunteer fire department! I didn't see a telephone number. They have a lot of nice plants but given the lack of telephone number I'd rate it as sketchy. Maybe drop them an email and see what transpires.

Please read the below paragraph for both your education and entertainment:

They sell all over the world!!! (So the claim goes). Imagine the licensure requirements and the mountainous amount of paperwork they have to fill out to keep up with government regulations of each country's phytotoxicity requirements? How about their tax/tariff responsibilities? No wonder they cannot put together a proper website. There is no time to do it.

    Moses.

Any ”nursery” that sells items like this should be avoided at all costs.

So, looking at just their "Hot Sell" (whatever that means) pages, they list 4263 pages of items totalling 68,208 items! They sell cut flower arrangements, faux and real dry flowers, perfumes, cosmetics, garden tools, pots, dog food (!!!), stuffed animals, canned foods/jams, soil, spring bulbs, gift chocolates, candles, home decor, endangered succulents, christmas ornaments, rugs, trail mix, seeds, fungicides/herbicides, makeup brushes, paints/art supplies, 7 foot tall plastic skeletons, mugs, mailboxes, sweatshirts, lip balm, artisan sea salt, rocks and stones, LED decor lights, greenhouse tours, books, stickers, hats, carnivorous plants, pillows, garden furniture, pickles, irrigation equipment, grow lights, nearly 500 different varieties of Philodendron alone, HEPA filters, orchids, greeting cards, Edithcolea grandis (!!!), bird feeders, vases, pecans, bridesmaids bouquets, hats, tie dye t-shirts, Placeholders?, hot chocolate mix, funeral arrangements, knives, birdhouses, gourmet holiday gift baskets, vitamins, salt lamps, dog treats, greenhouse equipment, letter openers, engraving kits, bracelets and earrings, water coolers, incense, washing machines, peanut brittle, books about Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, wine chillers, teddy bears, rocking chairs, rolling greenhouse benches (which list for $2200.00 but are "on sale" for only $150!!), cut flowers, rubber boots, Bonsai trees ("The exact plant shown in photo!"), placemats, wicker baskets, THC Gummies (yes, you read that right), gravel, jigsaw puzzles, barbecues, a 40 liter recirculating laboratory chiller, which normally sells for $13,618.00 but they offer for only $149.00!! and literally every ornamental/food plant you've ever heard of, and — oh yes — roses.

And to think that all of this is sold from this quasi-rural lot in Traskwood, Arkansas.

Oh, and many of the rose descriptions are stolen verbatim from other legit retail businesses. Photos too, of course. Take a look at this listing for 'Oklahoma' and compare it with the original listing at Cedar Rim Nursery. I'm sure most of their listings include stolen IP.

If you're willing to risk your $$$ buying roses from this entity, then by all means, take a chance on it. I think there's plenty of reason to be extremely skeptical of this business.

Here’s an assessment of how safe it seems to buy from https://www.rareflowerplant.com/ based on publicly available info and general online-shopping safety checks:

    ⚠️ Red Flags / Concerns

🔹 Very new and low-trust website

    • ScamAdviser gives the site a very low/uncertain trust score and notes the domain was only registered recently (Nov 2025). The owner’s identity is hidden, and there’s minimal traffic or history of the site.

🔹 Lack of real reviews or reputation

    • There are no genuine customer reviews or ratings available on independent review sites or major review platforms. Scamadviser and other review checks show no reviews and the business profile isn’t claimed.

🔹 Online community warnings about similar sites

    • Some plant-selling sites with similar names or formats have been called out as scams or sketchy on community forums like Reddit and Facebook, with reviewers warning that cheap plant sites often don’t deliver.

✅ Neutral or Some Positive Signals

    ✔️ Website uses SSL (HTTPS)

    • Browsers mark it secure (https://), meaning data between you and the site is encrypted. That’s good but very basic and doesn’t guarantee legitimacy.

✔️ Sells products like plants with price listings

    • You can browse products and prices, and the site looks like a typical e-commerce shop on the surface.

    ⚠️ Questions About Business Practices

    • No visible social media presence linked on the site.

    • No verifiable business registration or physical address.

    • No public customer feedback or testimonials.

    • Return/refund policies (if any) aren’t easily found or credible.

    📌 Safety Tips Before Buying

    If you still consider purchasing:

🔹 Use a secure payment method

    • Prefer credit card or PayPal (they offer buyer protection/dispute options).

    • Never use ACH/bank transfer or crypto for new/unverified shops.

🔹 Start with a small order

    • Test the service with a small, inexpensive item first.

    🔹 Search for reviews independently

    • Try searching Reddit, Facebook plant groups, and social media for people who have actually bought from them.

🔹 Be wary of prices that seem too low

    • Scammers often lure customers with unusually low prices and “limited stock.”

    🧠 Overall Recommendation

Caution strongly advised — there’s no solid evidence the site is a reputable plant seller, and several safety checks suggest it could be unreliable or a scam. If customer reviews or established reputation can’t be found, it’s safer to buy from well-known plant retailers or marketplaces (e.g., Etsy shops with strong reviews, specialized nurseries, local garden centers).
