Any suggestions as to ID?

When I was living in Oz, I had this tree growing in the back garden.

I've never actually been able to put a name to it.

By the look of the flowers, I've always suspected an ash or closely related genus.

Ideas?

Sorry floral. I can't recall, but the second pic does have, just, a couple visible.

Top pic does "suggest" ash-like leaves -- more-so at the bottom. Enlarging it just makes it out-of-focus tho.

Thought for a moment might be Japanese pagoda tree, but flowers don't match.

The image of Fraxinus griffithii, in flower, does look very similar.

Agreed, floral.

One caveat, though. It is supposed to be self fertile, but I have no memory of it ever bearing seed over the 15+yrs I lived there. I guess the gods were with me.
