sconce/ mirror placement

last month

I have a 9ft wide vanity with awkward sink placement. I don't think there is enough space to have a scone on the outer edges of mirror. I have been considering just one sconce on each inside of the mirrors. There is a wide gap in between each sink. I am considering a countertop mirror for makeup middle section of vanity. How can i make mirror and sconce placement look intentional and not awkward. There is also recess lighting in the room.

Better photos and measurements of sinks... What kind of countertop mirror?

How about a tower cabinet for storage, and a stand mirror? Is the curb backsplash already attached? Remove it and consider tile up the wall.

center the mirrors over each sink and place sconces, centered at eye level, where they work. a sconce on the side wall. What is beyond the end of the countertop on the other end? add a sconce in line with the others.

The toilet will be next to the sink on the right. I'd rather not do a tower. I am considering tall 30x44in mirrors cenetered above each sink.

Here is another photo of sink with an AI 30" wide mirror to visualize

unless the mirror is framless, I think the one shown is too wide for the sink.

No to all above. Call it bad planning, bad vanity design?

Add a 2 1/2 trim, flat stock all four sides, white

A glass and mirror company, template INSIDE the trim, and they will note the electrical at that time

Two 24 inch wide sconces, light pointing down, and mount ON the mirror

Will anything else look good? No...........: ) Sorry. It will look like mirror clutter.

    ABSOLUTE no to this..sorry again

This is victimization by open vanity area, size, and sink centers 15" from a wall.

Vanities/mirror,LOOKS and lighting need to be planned simultaneously. OOps!

Do as above, and yes, you will be able to see your face, just fine.

You only have one choice that will look typical and give you the light you need, a light fixture mounted above each mirror. They come in a myriad of designs and options for number of bulbs. If you really think make up and hair can be successfully done in a moist environment you could go hollywood with the lighting of that mirror.

Jan, I truly appreciate your input here!! Do you recommend the 2.5in trim go to the 8ft ceiling? So mirror would be about 55"lenfrj?

    ^^^

    You are trimming FOUR sides

    Math.

    96 inch ceiling.MINUS

    36" counter top

    4" backsplash rise

2.5 trim @ back splash riser top

    2.5 trim @ ceiling ( scribe to ceiling )

Will equal mirror height /glass only of.....51" . ( sue me for a 1/4 inch)

    Mirror/glass width of 85" ( 90" van minus 5" )

What is width of "shaker" trim detail on cabinetry? If you want a stain trim,.you could match that , if it was custom? Both stain and width?

*Mirror is usually 3/8 thickness : )last thought?

Cabinet match to stain, trim on doors, and split up. use ONE light

If trim is 1.5 inches? left and far right glass w/b about 27 x 49"

IMO one large mirror for that whole wall would have been the right choice the sink placement is bad but now it is done . ONe big mirror and 2 long bath bar lights to light that whole wall and a magnifying mirror on a stand for makeup and you will need an adjustable stool for thta makeup space . Sorry poorly planned even for good storage .You might be able to do this
