,just add a forest themed wall paper and it will blend right in ,this way it looks out of place.

Very ironic to use camouflage to help something stand out, rather than blend in... Your husband must have a great sense of humor. But adding a leafy or tree themed wallcovering as Genevieve suggested could be another good development of the theme.

I've got many friends back in Kansas City Missouri that would love this lol. Who cares what people think if you like it, if it makes you laugh, if it makes you happy then good it is your bathroom in your house after all!

Somehow this toilet makes me think of the Movie " The Great Outdoors" its a fun idea and very creative . as you mentioned that your husbands creates several designs you could suggest to him that adding a background to them will broaden someones imagination and give them new ideas on their decor choices.

That looked like a perfectly good toilet until......, just kidding. How many dad's would take the time to paint a toilet for their kids?

The final product looks well and carefully executed. Whether something is one's taste or not always seems to me somewhat irrelevant if the job is well done and follows some basic design principles.

To that end, I totally agree with the above posters who mentioned an outdoorsy themed wallpaper to give the toilet some context. An appropriately outdoor themed piece or two of wall art would also go well.

If you ever want to sell your house, I would just switch the toilet for a new, plain one and strip off any wallpaper and similarly themed items. Such a 'reversal' would be cheap and quite easy and should silence some of the critics.

I don't see why everyone is giving you such a hard time. You can't help it that you like something.

I was thinking of doing a black and whit striped wraped toilet I think it will mak a statement in a powder room what's the cost is it easy to apply???

He has a black and white zebra pattern, but wouldn't recommend stripes. The film might pull and distort the stripes. Stripes are available but would probably do best on a non-curved, flat object. Hydrographic dipping is a very involved process - cleaning, painting, several dips on big items, then multiple clear coats. He primarily dips guns or automotive items, but the toilet was great fun and our son loves it. Would I want it in my bath? No. But it's perfect for a ten year old boy or maybe a hunting cabin. Thousands of patterns available. If you can dream it, he can customize it.

Wish Houzz had a thumbs down button for some of these comments. I know a 10 year old would love it. I think it is very imaginative.
