If it's Purple Aura, you could be disappointed. Michael Garhart has commented on it at HMFR....and not too favorably.

If its Crimson Bouquet....I like its robustness and soldier straight bloom presentation, no nodding, but when full open, the bloom looks disheveled...quick! get the pruner and put this sad bloom out of its misery.

I’ve seen Purple Aura blooming at my local nursery, it looked really good, I was tempted to get one, too.. A different shade of purple than Twilight Zone and Ebb Tide on a very nice plant with good habit. It was still blooming when I visited last week.

In my experience buying from big box stores, I'm more liable to trust the white hang tag than the colorful one. That means you probably have Crimson Bouquet.

I have no experience with Purple Aura, but there are also some positive comments on HMFR for conditions outside of the cool and damp Pacific Northwest. YMMV as always. If it's a $19 big box purchase I'm liable to give it a try and my hot dry conditions might be what it likes.

cynthia , you are right .. however there are 2 !!! white tags ! Not just the colorful one . one of each rose name . isnt that something . they arent even close alphabetically . im surprised whoever potted it didnt notice but im sure they are just doing it so many times
