Unless you are going to flip the house, I think it is worth it to find a local cabinet maker to make a vanity in the exact size you need to maximize storage and the way it looks in the space.

Mine is 99".

We recently went through this with a 96” vanity. I would definitely check Patricia’s suggestion of two matching vanities. However, we did end up having one custom made for the reasons chispa posted.

If you go to a kitchen/bath cabinet store, they will have cabinets that you can gang together to fit your space. 2 36 in sink bases, a 33 in drawer base and fillers will do it. OR any other combination that you would prefer.

My concern with trying to reduce the cost of a vanity is you want to be sure you are still getting quality. Bathrooms are damp spaces and cheap cabinets just don't stand up the humidity. They start to bow, paint peels, it can really be a disaster.

Yes, gang together multiple base cabinets to fill the space if you can afford that many quality cabinets. If not, find two separate, prefabbed vanities of the most durable materials you can afford and space them evenly on the wall. There are *plenty* of examples of nice bathrooms that have done this, and it will likely be the most affordable option.

Look up Bertch Bath cabinets - if you can get them in your area you can get a customized look with their components. About a 6 week lead time usually.

More important? Show the entire bath. Show your plan.......and the materials. Show an inspo for the look you want, and UNLESS you are moving in a couple years? Do your bath for the longer haul.

If you are staying in the house, and its a 2k difference between a cobble together and exactly WHAT you want? It's a 200 bucks a year delta/difference to do the bath and vanity the WAY you want it, versus lipstick to the pig solutions.

As others are posting you should be able to find good quality cabinets that can be ganged together to give you the total length that you need. Would suggest that you include some banks of drawers as well as base cabinets.

No matter what anyone says? You will obsess.....I would say have it MADE from 100% maple and pick a paint. Seal the inside. Get a remnant for a top.

Leave the door open after a shower, as that is how you prevent mold.........a far bigger issue.

I had an odd situation in my master bath. The plumbing was in a space where it would be quite difficult and expensive to move. The original vanity was a prefab 48" vanity that sat 7" from the wall. That gap was infuriating. It seemed to have some sort of magnetic force that caused things to be pulled into the void.

I pulled out the old vanity and ordered new base cabinets. The original cabinet had two 12 inch sets of drawers on either side of a 24" base. I pulled out the old vanity and ordered new base cabinets from Lowes. I increased the width of the first stack of drawers from 12" to 18" and kept the 24" sink base and 12" stack of drawers so the sink would not need to be moved.

I used a 1" filler strip next to the wall (needed so the drawers could open past the door frame).

The new cabinet filled the 7" gap without having to move any plumbing and gave me better drawer space. No one seems to notice that the sink isn't centered. I ordered a custom quartz countertop with an integrated sink.

It was far less expensive than the estimates to purchase a 55" prefab cabinet and pay for the plumbing to be moved.

The only frustrating part was waiting for the countertop to be fabricated. Couldn't be measured and cut until the cabinets were installed. The first countertop they installed had a defect, so they took it off and refabricated, returned with that countertop and it had a large scratch that was not able to be buffed out, so they took that one back and the 3rd time was a charm. Each time it was a couple of weeks between visits and reinstallations. Thankfully I had another bathroom to use.

Having more drawers and only building doors where you have your sinks is a good idea. My current bathroom was built that way (not by me but the previous homeowner) and I love it. I have deep drawers for linens too.
Look at everything you want to store in the bathroom and give yourself ample storage space. Another winner is a full height linen closet with some drawers inside, as well as shelves.
