Nice, Lois!

Theresa, I’m working on this year’s mystery, called Lupines and Laughter. Before she posted the introduction (around Halloween) I joined the Quiltville FB group. By the time the first clue was posted before Thanksgiving, I was already tired of seeing people’s fabric choices! 🤣 So, when the first clue came out I wasn’t really in the mood, but I started anyway.

I decided to use green where Bonnie used pink, and I only made 1/3 of the quantity of pieces. Turns out I’m not crazy about this year’s design so glad I only did part. I’m hoping to finish the last border today.

Theresa, the squares and HSTs are cut/trimmed at 2.5", so not as small as you thought. It was still a lot of cutting/trimming.

I've done about 10 of Bonnie's quilts, but I've never done a mystery. I just couldn't put that much work into something unless I knew up front that I would like it.

I love the color combination! It will be a stunning finish.

I saw it as one block and counted off squares. Now I see four blocks. Ok then!!

Nicely done, Lois. After my endeavor into last year's mystery quilt, I'm pretty sure there is not another in my future. I'll never say never though...
