Design help for living room

Would love design expertise for this large living room! All furniture is old and we are open to replacement. This room is so big I have a hard time envisioning what to do with it, especially the blank wall behind the couch.
Measurements:
Wall with windows is 20ft, back wall (behind couch) is 15 ft and front wall with fireplace is 18 feet. Any ideas are appreciated!

Also forgot to mention ceilings are 13 ft.

A floor plan with all dimensions will help you get advice. Unfortunately what you give for pics does not help on their own.

Is this supposed to be your family room or more formal living room?

Doesn't look like it was designed to have a TV in the space.

@chispa it is our family room...there are no other living room spaces in the house. But I agree, no good place to put a tv . The previous owners had theirs in the same place.

Can the TV be placed on the opposite wall ( where sofa is now ) ? it looks very odd scrunched in that corner next to the fireplace. Yes, floor plan and dimensions needed & one of the talented designers will come up with a floorplan .

    Some possibilities:

--Move TV to the wall opposite the fireplace, then divide the room in two by:

Floating two back-to-back same size sofas, one facing fireplace, one facing TV on the opposite wall. Add two comfortable armchairs to flank fireplace and create a conversational grouping at that end of the room. Other sofa, possibly with a chaise is for watching TV. This idea, though much less formal. This arrangement also unblocks your fantastic windows that now has a sofa blocking them.

Fireplace facing with two armchairs--conversational side.

Great space! To balance the fireplace and TV, create two seating zones—one oriented toward the fireplace for conversation, and one toward the TV for viewing. Float furniture instead of pushing it all against walls, use a large area rug to anchor the main seating area, and add layered lighting to warm up the space. A quick sketch of your layout would help refine these ideas.

Ideas below may/may not work, but if interested, measuring will be key and that you are fine with tv viewing with the set up. Have an overall design in mind before purchasing and look at inspiration pictures for help.

Imagination needed: to the right of the fireplace, the side is just your doorway. Seating would not be as close to entrance.

On the left, I’d add a bookcase (the same height as doorframes) which will create balance across the entire wall and also look nicer. Add comfortable swivel chairs.

With the height of the walls and windows, again balance is key. Wait to decide on its look until your new furniture is in place and if you need ideas, look for inspiration.

The room needs to be tweaked.

The sectional needs to be moved to the right. I know there is a vent in the floor. Move the sectional.

Select a larger end table in the corner and a much larger lamp.

The light gray loveseat should be placed at 90 degrees to the sectional

    Select a round coffee table.

Select a large canvas for the wall

Add drapery panels to the windows.

That blank wall is obviously the TV wall

Even before I read through the comments and saw lisedv's floor plan, it was exactly what I was going to suggest as well. I think it's the perfect solution to your dilemma.

This blank is just a copy of the rough draft that you drew up for us.

View from the couch. The couch is just over 7' away from the TV. It looks farther only because of the angle.

Here is a rendition using the measurements you gave us with suggestions for your consideration. Only the placement and type of furniture is being suggested, not the colors or styles. Hope this helps. Best Wishes to you and yours.

    1. Couch: 91" long.

    2. One area rug by Rugs USA, 9' x 12'

    3. Two Swivel chairs that are versatile for conversation, watching TV and easy to move around to accommodate guests.

    4. One long couch table behind the couch to dress up the backside of the couch so folks are not looking at just the back of the couch when they enter the room.

    5. Two small side tables, 15" x 15" with table lamps on them.

    6. One small basket with extra pillows and blankets.
