I think the cloud graphics are a bit weak for the room.

I think both pieces are hung in the wrong direction. Going with the one on the right, the birds, as I see it should be on the top. The piece to the left of fireplace, is for the eye of the beholder to interpret, but, I see blue water coming onto the lighter sand shore.

Just try the birds over the mantel. I love the colors and the size. If you do, too, the other painting can go on another wall; you buy another identical mirror and hang one over each cabinet with identical table lamps place in front of the mirrors.

Judy Graham, these are not the art pieces. I explained below in my original post- they were pulled from other rooms in my home for visualization of sizing only.

Gotcha...the diptychs are meant to hang together, with a small gap (3-6 inches) between them for continuity. That doesn't mean to have to hang them together (however you do lose the flow). Still follow the 57-inch eye-level rule for height, frames matching.

The smaller piece on the left looks appopriate to me. Remembering you silver blue design scheme, the the clouds suit it well.

I like the smaller size but a bit higher than 6" like Bev showed.

I understand art is a personal choice. I tend to like softer, calmer style and color as opposed to really contrasting or bold style/ decor.

If rhe smaller size of the two is the option, do you think the wider silver framed option or doing a silver floating frame would look better? i will post poc if I can find one of the floater frame
