The current SQ TL washers are digital even though they look analog. The capacity is sufficient for most needs, but not enough to meet your desire of 4.5 cu. We have a set from 2017 which is analog and I like the versatility with water levels, cycle times and water temperature selection it offers, but after almost 9 years with both the washer and dryer, I do have to admit they are harder on clothes than I would like. There really are not many traditional TL washers that are made like the Maytags of old. I am considering going back to a FL in the next couple of years (we owned a Kenmore and LG in the past), and like you, I want the capacity to do king size bedding with ease, and having a machine not spend half an hour trying to rebalance the load before the final spin. The current SQ FL does not offer the capacity I would want though I would be happy with it for all other purposes. One of my good friends here was telling me offline recently that a repairman told her when she was having her DW serviced, that he recommends getting the appliance you want with the features it offers that appeals to you with no nod to reliability because few of them now last as long as we want and servicing is commonplace. I don't want to just throw money around like it grows on trees, but I see a lot of value in getting what I want at the moment and not expecting it to be trouble free for a dozen years or more.
