Let's see the rest of the room so we can see your style.

Why do you want to replace the picture? Because you want something larger in the space? I think the picture itself looks nice on its own merits, though perhaps a little lonely at the moment.

Waht do you want from us??? A 100 ideas of art with no real help. I never choose art for my clients I strongly urge them to buy pieces they love so I advise the same to you. If just some generic art go to Art.com lots to choose from even different sizes . I kind of like the lamp what are you replacing it with ? I need to see the whole room and you need to explain what you want from us

Generally you will want a piece of art that is between 2/3 and 3/4 the length of the sofa below it and the bottom should be about 6 " above the sofa (lower than your current art.)

As for art - why did you buy the piece you have? Art should speak to you. It should be something that brings you joy when you look at it. I don't know you, so I don't know what brings you joy other than your two pups.

I think the current piece is fighting with the carpet. Two very busy stripy patterns in the same color range.

I am likely to do something with an animal rather than abstract, but everyone enjoys different things.

No comment from me as you have good advice so far. Just wanted to say that my friend has your exact same dogs😂

@thinkdesignlive …. cute, are those long haired dachshunds ? My son has one, it’s the nicest dog . We had a shorthaired black / tan, he was very smart but really a handfull.

If you move the art down a bit, you may like its effect better. I also think the lamp is a good choice and just add some black and cream cushions. But…what stood out to me immediately was how everything felt squeezed in: recliner and ottoman placement, extra table in front of the other one (suggest removing and getting a larger side table, for a better lamp/table ratio).

Instead of spending $ replacing art/lamp, consider a new side table and cushions and try moving recliner and ottoman out a bit.

Bottom line, I don't think you need to replace that art at all. If you want to, that's a different matter. But we need to know why, and the pros definitely need to see the … wait for it … Big Picture, in order to give you useful, pertinent advice and opinions.

Your dogs are adorable. I'd love to see more of them!

You seem to have a little MCM vibe going. society6.com is a good source for graphic art that comes in many sizes. You could get two verticals or a large horizontal in patterns and palette you like.
