I have my mothers 12 place setting and every accessory dish/item ever made. of Franciscan Ivy. We are reluctant to use it due to reports of lead in it. Plus we would need to unpack it our of the three large totes it is in!

Thoughts all ye wise ones? Safe to use or no?

I would get a lead testing kit and check. My instincts are that lead would need moisture to leach into dry ingredients, but I’d certainly research that. Lead paint doesnt seem to be a concern unless ingested or disturbed and breathed in.

I don't think there is a risk with dry ingredients and even when used with liquids, I think the risk is greatest with acidic foods.

Maybe I'll try to find cute ceramic 1/2 cup measuring cups, this way you're not scooping and then having to pour flour, sugar, whatever into a measuring cup.
