Just read about it on a travel forum discussion board. I couldn't believe it. Did a Google search but no mention of cause of death. Yes, 71, one year younger than I. Had no idea. She was one of my favorite actresses.

This was awful news. Adored her in Schitt’s Creek and Best in Show. And who didn’t love her Mom figure in Home Alone! I think Macauley Culkin really looked to her as his Mama.

On same travel discussion board. Someone posted that she had situs inversus. Not sure if that was a factor in her death or not. I Googled:

And my fave Chris Guest movie performance was in A Mighty Wind - she and Eugene Levy had such great chemistry.

My original login was in 2003 or 2004, Ira helped me plan a trip to Italy with my then 13 year old to see art and architecture. I have been on it off and on, losing my screen name and password a couple of times. I’m now kswl3, which has stuck since they closed the forum in 2013. I make sure to log in at least once a month to see what that bunch is up to. I correspond off the forum with a few members who are also from back in the dark ages. 😁

DH and I were wanting a good classic to watch tonight and decided on Heartburn with Meryl Streep and Jack Nicholson (I love the book, too). I can’t believe I’d forgotten that Catherine O’Hara was in it! It made me sad, but happy to see her. ❤️
