Where to put towel bars and robe hooks?

last month

Hi all, hoping for any and all advice. There are a few spots my husband and I see of where to put 2 towel bars, but looking for other suggestions. We have linen cabinets on each side of the sinks that go up to the ceiling. The bottom half of the linen cabinets are drawers. Do we put two small towel bars to the left and right of the sinks into the wood?

Thanks much.

What did the person that designed the house have in mind?

Where is your bath towel when you step out of the shower? It looks like the shower is glass on two sides, will you mount towel bars or hooks to the glass?

Do you use a bath towel more than once between launderings?

As to the hand towel, my dad’s hand towels were on rings screwed into the side of the linen tower. Worked great. But, will you have items on the vanity top that might interfere woth the towels?

Hooks on back or door. Hand towels on the linen towers for sinks. Possibly a towel rack by tub but hard to tell from this image.

Your shower door can have a towel bar/ handle on the outside, and I would put at least one hook on the wall between the tub and linen closet. My husband is team towel bar and I am team hook. If you want to put a towel bar between the tub and linen, you might be able to fit in a double one.

It looks like the shower door could hit the tub. Can you change the hinges to the other side?

Changing the hinges isn’t a bad idea. Then you could have a small freestanding cabinet between the shower door and .tub, to hold your towel and any extra shower needs inside, or a candle and glass of wine for your bubble bath.

There are three linen cupboards in this bathroom. Is a fourth needed?

location, location, location. The last person used the last of the shampoo, you don’t want to drip water across fhe floor to get more.

I guess this is not worth another piece of furniture in the bathroom to me. Also we keep our extra stuff in the linen closet in the hallway. Never had a problem yet!

Never hire a draftsman that drip dries after a shower.

A little off topic, but is there a way to have the closet only accessible from the bedroom and not through the bathroom?

Lots of places for towels bars.

Bars can be placed on glass shower walls, but need to be planned before glass is ordered/fabricated. Holes cannot be drilled in tempered glass after the fact.

On shower door you use a double-sided horizontal "handle" that doubles as a towel bar. Also needs to be specified ahead of time. I have these on two of my shower doors.

Hook or two behind the main door.

Hand towels bars on the side of the linen closets. Check with cabinet guy about any blocking you might need.

I do not ,like towel bars so only use hooks . I also dislike hand towel circle towel holders just hooks or I my one bathroom I just fold a hand towel on the counter it is a powder room and when I have guests I use disposible hand towels no way do I want to use ahand towel everyone else used . That toilet room sure looks claustrophobic and would have been better to not have included IMO. The tiub looks out of scale . As it is now you will need to go with hooks on the glass or have to walk out and arond the door to get a towel this was poor planning

" The tiub looks out of scale "

@Patricia Colwell Consulting is correct, that tub is approx half the size it will truly be as that now is about 48" per scale. And the shower is almost 96"?
