That’s an interesting pattern. Usually setting triangles are larger than regular blocks cut in half. Maybe you could make a slightly larger block and cut in half for the triangles.

I agree. It's always a challenge with setting trriangles. It almost looks like they just cut the squares in half and just tossed the other half.

By my calculations, not always right though, I will need upwards of 50 blocks. They are going together nicely. It will be the setting of them with the background that may take some time.

I missed sewing last week, we had company and then came the laundry and bed remaking!

That’s a really cool pattern, Theresa I can’t wait to see your quilt. I have been so busy with company and stuff that I haven’t quilted in a month. I’m really quite sad about it. I finished 4 or 5 quilts last winter while I was in Palm Desert, but I won’t even finish two this year. Too much to keep me otherwise occupied down here. Oh well.

This is coming along, slowly! DH was sick last week so no sewing time then. And company coming on Monday for several days.

The way I see the blocks set up is four small units creating a larger block separted by a sashing strip and cornerstone. I have three of those larger blocks finished. hope to get a few more done this weekend.

DH had a change in med strength it has knocked hin for a loop. He is having stomach pains. So it is back to the earler scrip with a stomach xray and blood to be done this next week. Thanks for thinking of him!

And now my kitchen stove has two burners out of commission. We have four people coming for most of next week. One repair co. couldn’t come until next Thursday!!Aaarkk!

I started laying out blocks and got thoroughly confused. Will go back at it tomorrow.

We had a very good visit this week with DD#1, her hubby and two of her grandchildren. So many laughs, such beautiful young people! I miss seeing them more often, miles apart, across the country.😔😔

Well, it is coming along. A degree in engineering might have come in handy in laying this out. But I do have a good part of this stitched. I just have to figure out those side triangles. Tomorrow!!

I think if it were just plain fabric in the triangles, it wouldn’t be so daunting . I have done patterns doing that. It is because the triangles are part of the pattern. I was working on them a bit this morning.. It CAN be done!

Oh my, over a week and no progress. I am in my third case of pneumonia this year. I surely hope this isn’t chronic!

I am feeling better today so I hope I can get back at it.

I sewed today, I really sewed today!!

Feeling much improved, didn’t even have an afternoon nap!

I worked on the setting triangles , they all needed to follow the quilt pattern. And I got two of the rows joined.

If I feel as well tomorrow, who knows, I might get that thing put together. The hard part and the scary part will be trimming it all.

This is the top in all its unironed glory and pre trimming.

The setting triangles are oversized and as I see the pattern, the trimming will be done along the green cornerstones. I hope that goes easily. And I realized the whole outside edges are bias. That should be fun! Lots of wasted fabric.

editted: Top and botton edges are trimmed differently. Just pick a spot!

And laying it out, I see I am missing one cornerstone. tomorrow, tomorrow!

Yes, boat work is finally done, I mean by professionals...our "boatwork" is never really done, lol. My DH's pilot brother is here for a few days, we sailed a little north to do some snorkeling, will anchor overnight, then head back. We both fly out friday. I head to my sister's in Lakeland to join her at her guild retreat. So excited!!

Yes my sister lives in South Central Lakeland. We are going to The Lady of the Lakes quilt retreat from May 4th-8th. We are most excited about it!

How fun! I’ve gone to the Lady of the Lakes quilt show several times. Too far to go now!

My father in law and sister in law still live there.
