N daylilies 2026

Today is the day for your N daylilies to show off.

Only a few N’s for me.

Neon Flamingo, love the color. It has done well here in just a few seasons.

Night Flight is unregistered.

Nosferatu is a good oldie, does well here.

Not many N's for me either.

Nordic Sunshine is a cheery little thing and so far, it always has a pattern.

Nostromo is new to the garden. It's a reverse bitone.

    That's all for me.

I also have Neon Flamingo. It did not do well in the first year in its new home. It only had two scapes out of six fans, and those scape were short with only a few buds. I hope it improves after settling in for a year.

Sherry, Julia, & Debra, Neon Flamingo is fantastic. I see why you all have it!!

Nancy Nostromo is very pretty. I only have on N so I'll add a couple of seedlings that will be here to stay that are a cross with it.

Neon Flamingo looks good in all those pics. Brad, North Wind Dancer looks good and you have gotten some nice seedlings from it. Nancy, Nordic Sunshine is indeed cheery.

Brad, I really like that last seedling!

    Here are my contributions:

NO ORDINARY CHILD: Color holds well in full sun. THhis one also blooms for a long time.

NEON VIOLET: Still too early to evaluate.

NIGHT SHIFT: If I recall correctly, one of the Petit introductions I still grow. I find the petal color appealing.

NEW COVENANT: I love the color of this one. This is an accurate representation of the color.

    NAVAJO PONY

    NEON FLAME: Slow increaser

NATURE'S CRYSTAL SEA: Too new to evaluate

NIGHT WINGS: One of the "blackest" that I grow.

    NEON FLAMINGO: Good performer

NOSFERATU: An oldie and a goodie

Here are two that are in COTTAGE GARDENS

NORTH BY NORTHWEST: might be making its way to my garden

    NIGHT AT THE OPERA

    Have a great day!

Navajo Pony is a winner for sure, Kate & David.

Kate, I like Napa Valley Merlot. NIchole's Heat Seeker is nice and bright!

David, I really really like No Ordinary Child!! What a beauty is every way. I also like Nature's Crystal Sea and Night Wings.

Brad, such wonderful seedlings from Northwind Dancer! I am glad N Dancer likes your garden, mine left a few years ago.

Debra, Neon Flamingo does really well here, so I am betting yours will thrive soon.

David - Neon Violet is a gorgeous bloom! I'll be looking forward to your evaulation of it in coming seasons. New Covenant and North By Northwest also caught my eye.

Nostromo, I see, is a Paul Lewis cultivar out of Moldovan's Teddy Bear's Picnic. Napa Valley is a Maryott. North by Northwest is out of Cobraskin Necktie (which unfortunately hasn't done much here).

Night Wings is still a standard of the color black.

Nelson Mandela (a Hanson) hit its stride this past summer (5 inches).

Navajo Pony is an interesting color, but seemed not to like the 2025 winter. That, combined with the tall diploid tendency to lean, gave it a deportation ticket.

No Boys Allowed has tall scapes. Debra has noted its limited bud count.

Natty Man is another nice Davisson purple.

Neon Flamingo has good color and size, but modest bud count.

Night of the Iguana (a Hanson) is a later cultivar with high bud count. It does tend to start opening the day before.

On a cooler morning. Look at the spent scape.

Nosferatu is a color I like.

Natalie Antoinette is an older Stamile.

    Navajo Warrior has striking color.

I don't remember the performance of Korth's New Covenant this past summer.

Night Wings looks appealing in both gardens!

Mantis - I really like the looks of Nelson Mandela. Too bad the flower is only 5 inches. No Boys Allowed was the only Davisson I intentionally left behind. I've always preferred Wilkinson's Sweet Child of Mine, which is the same color but is taller and has a higher bud count. Natty Man is a pretty purple.
