In my limited experience security came down to the locking mechanism. Our city required tust all doors over a certain size use a multipoint locking system so that made the decision for us.

That is a big advantage of living in FL and having impact rated glass! They aren't coming in through windows or glass doors unless you left them unlocked or they break the lock.

I worked with a local door company on my custom door. I suggest starting there.

Start with your budget. IT doesn't do much good to have a 3K budget for a 30K door.

and yet no picture of the home, the budget, the type of door design you're drawn to.

post a pic showing your home front, and closer in on the front door opening. then show an inside shot w/your current door closed.
