weird leftover window.

When we remodeled and moved our kitchen the window was left. Was thinking I’d put in a stained glass window to cover it. Easier said than down considering it’s size. It’s in an open setting by our dining table. On the other side is three door sliders.

Large picture? Piece of furniture? Have several rugs I could hang? These are a few of the ones I have but they’re heavy not sure how to hang. Ideas?

the window isn't the design problem.

Photos of all four walls would help with suggestions for a more complimentary arrangement.

The window looks fine. It's nicely sized for the space. I would not hang anything over it, because that would be awkward given the two scrolls framing the mirror. I'd move the clock over an inch or two, towards the window

Don't center the table on the wall space, move it closer to the window. Think of the area from the curtain to the wall as one area to be styled. And it is feels good to sit at a table closer to the natural light from a window.

Move the clock because it's too large for that space. It's a big piece and needs breathing room around it to look good.

Add one large art work on the wall. Not a mirror because it doesn't reflect a nice view from that location.

Remove the blind from the window. If it's needed for light control, choose one that is similar to the wall colour so it doesn't pop.

Consider adding a rug to define the eating area.

The window looks fine to me, just as it is.

The windows existance is fine. It's the shade you have on it that looks cheap and off color. Yes to moving the clock, try a few inches, maybe consider somewhere else. The round mirror isn't working with the screens on either side. It's too small. I don't see how the rugs fit the rest of your things.

What window is to the left of the clock? Are the curtains ever open? I agree the window in question isn't so bad. Maybe just a different shade and declutter the ledge. I'd hang a shade on the wall much higher than the window to give it the illusion of being a taller window.

Kendrah, after reading your comment you're right about hanging the roman shade higher and I modified my mock-up.

Extend the curtain/rod to cover it.

Move. Remove the scroll that is left of the mirror. Leave the darker gray one to the right as is. Pull the dining bench out a bit from the wall and put a chair at either end. That will fill up the space a bit more and the sides of the chairs are prettier than the backs.

    Another rearrangement option:

    With a rug:

I saw an Asian paper lantern over the table in one of your photos, which could work too.

It may be oddly placed but but will suggest keeping it and not trying to cover it up. It admits natural sunlight and that is almost always a positive.
