thoughts on laundry room paint color?

Would love some thoughts on our laundry room paint color. We plan on adding white cabinets, and white wainscoting. No windows so no natural light. I have a pic of what our laundry room looks like, and also a couple ideas from ChatGPT. We liked the idea of blue but now thinking safe green, but I’m just not sure!

I'm usually not one for color, but I really like the punchy blue contrast against the white wainscoting. The green looks murky and unintentional.

There really isn't a right or wrong answer.

I would look at the rest of your home and determine what color scheme complements the rest of the house. Laundry rooms can be brighter, darker, more dramatic, but you don't want it to feel completely disconnected with the rest of the house. If your whole home is decorated with a fall palette, adding a sunny yellow will look and feel like it doesn't belong.

I like the blue. Laundry rooms, should be cheerful, because, you have to spend time in there doing that laundry. I would choose that over green.

I LOVE SW Sea Salt - and I still think a blue will work better in your laundry room!

OR - a different green. Sea Salt in a room without any light may not be the best selection:

There are many pretty greens - SW Pewter Green/SW Evergreen Fog + many others in various green tones.

    Below is BM Caldwell Green:

You will need to try large samples in your room. Without any natural light, it will make a difference vs. all the photos of laundry rooms online that have a window(s).

Are you able to add a window? I would hate to not have a large window in my laundry room (in order to see stains + it's much more cheery.

Without knowing how the laundry relates to what's going on in the rest of house, I vote for the blue - I like the vibrancy, looks sharp against the white.

Remember - we don't go into rooms without any windows without turning on the lights. Getting good lighting is essential. No worries about which direction the light is coming in from or what is reflecting outside of the room. It is irrelevant. With good lighting any color can work.

Try SW Interesting Aqua. It’s a happy color and makes doing laundry more enjoyable.

I’m not sure how you can regard grey as a ”happy” colour, but I think SW Bravo Blue is a good colour for a cheerful, light small room.
