Interesting form

I just visited the Boyce-Thompson Arboretum, which is about an hour east of Phoenix and two hours north of Tucson. I ran across these very colmnar pines. They were not labeled and I have no idea what they are. Might they be P. sabiniana?

maackia, hope you had a good time out west. I'm no western pine expert, but I've read gray pines do have their rather long needles "weeping" alittle, so they may be that. They certainly aren't ponderosas (another drought/heat-tolerant pine).

@maackia, another possible pine comes to mind -- Pinus patula, Mexican weeping pine.

Those don't look like other P. patula I've seen.
