How would you decorate this living room?

If you want reasonable help you need to provide more info. What is your style? What do the other two sides of the room look like? How big is the space? Do you have any furniture? How land people do you regularly need to seat in this space? Just to name a few

I’m looking for boho style. I’m open to ideas. It’s not a very large space. I don’t have furniture in it yet but I do like color. Stumped on the vibe of the wall and floor color. This is a new apt I’m moving into.

How big is the space exactly? What do the other two walls look like? Is this a living and dining space or just living? Do you have a TV?

There’s an empty wall to the right. It’s not very big. It’s living and dining combined. I haven’t bought furniture yet. I have. An40 inch tv.

IMO when you post here always betterto not use your business since then we have no way of seeing idea books to help us help you . BOHO always is confusing to me it can have many looks , The space looks very contemorary so we need more info like a to scale floor plan to start . Then how many seats do you need daily? Freedom posted a lot of pics no BOHO there at all and honestly not helpful with no real input from you. This says BOHO to me is this what you think

Thank you the Boho pic that has the green wall is exactly the type I’m looking for. It’s so pretty! I will get measurements and more info.
    Thanks for the input.

Add some pics to your ideabook. You know - that you can always paint your walls. If renting - then loads of colorful artwork will be your friend.

There are various approaches to Boho /Boho Chic. And with your current space, there are many ways that you can go, with color, etc. - as I mentioned. Without having any idea of your style and preferences, can mostly offer general ideas. I did post a lot of visuals that I created, and it’s taking up a lot of space. So I will delete my post, since it’s not helpful.

BOHO would have been a popular organic style back in the 70s. Now it's a bit campy and forced.

IMO a current organic style would be Global Traveler, where your interiors look like you have currated items from all over the world.

Decorating decisions should come after you have identified your needs (especially seating in the LR and DR). You should do a to-scale floor plan and test layouts to suit your needs...before buying large pieces. There are free on line programs that might help.

Regarding decor ideas, BoHo has different feels and maybe go on line to help narrow down.

Thank you all for the input.
Celery and Maureen, Where are you getting the pictures with the colorful Boho room ideas.
I’d love to order some of that stuff.

I search for ideas on Pinterest. Usually the inspiration rooms don’t provide sources, but mixed in, there are ads/links that relate. With BoHo, it’s more to do with accessories and if you find a room you like, just search separately.

I think I may have got in on the wrong discussion board but I appreciate all your guys input. I’ll define you have to get the measurements of the room etc…

You have it posted as a design dilemma, home decorating and living room. Seems pretty accurate based on what you have added since

Here is our similar layout with windows and TV wall. Configure your furniture to face both the view and the TV. The oatmeal chair by the window is a swivel to face the view, the room, and the TV -with a lightweight 'pouf' or ottoman that can be moved depending on the direction.

Our sofa does not face the TV but is surprisingly easy to view/sit sideways and is also very handy to lie back and watch....a sectional sofa can serve the same purpose. You can see a corner of a cognac dining room chair. The rail is only to block off the sunken living room.

Figure your layout and then pick a rug large enough to hold it all or be adjacent as we have done. Decide on a color scheme for furnishings makes it easier when shopping. Ours is neutral earth tones with touches of teal and peacock blue. You can see we love Boho.

My pleasure. You can't see there is a passageway behind the sofa from the front door so it makes a 'floating' arrangement.

We had the sofa facing the TV but it didn't look right, we moved it and it clicked.

Are you ordering artwork before a sofa? Post more pics and dimensions.

How about a sectional, back to windows, but pulled out a bit, art between windows, and leave the windows just as you have them.

You can configure the sectional so that the t v could be hung on one of the side walls and there would be seating for viewing. Bring in some black to compliment the window trim.

Dining area at the other end, again, bring in some black....dining chairs, wood table to work with the floor.

    Your windows are beautiful.

As mentioned, this an inspiration room only and to find similar pieces you’ll have to search with a descriptive title.

Before you do that though, first step is to measure, figure out overall layout, decide on size/configuration of seating and your budget. I simply searched Pinterest for “ivory Scandi couch” and there are endless options. If interested, my daughter has a Cozey and they come in all kinds of configurations and is extremely comfortable. Your best bet though is to go to furniture stores and test, discuss construction and style/fabric options as it‘s a long term investment.

This table is similar (I searched “light wood round chunky coffee table”). You’ll need to invest some time as starting a room from scratch is not easy.

    Searched “Turkish“ ottoman

Try “Boho or Moroccan“ cushion on Etsy

If not comfortable with mixing patterns/colors, consider a natural fiber rug.

If having trouble deciding on accessories/pulling things together, look for art you love then duplicate colors/feel, as your jumping off point.
