Dressing a wide run of joined windows

last month

I'm not able to upload a photo, but here's what I've got:

I have a Florida Room with four 36" wide windows which are joined. There is now wall between the windows - just metal frame within which the windows slide up and down. It's just window.

I wouldn't cover them, but they are facing east and can get very hot. Plus, nice to have privacy on that side.

What I have now are two curtain rods and some "pearl" colored, velvet curtains. The weight helps with insulation and looks actually very nice even in S. Fla.

There are significant light gaps where the rods come together and at rod supports.

I can get a 150" rod and c rings. I'm wondering if c rings an by-pass rods are an aggravation. Do the rings constantly come off the rods. I think of traverse rods too, but like stacking the curtains at each window division. Looks nice, but not necessary if it can't work better than now. Blinds are possible, but they are needed behind curtains, I think for best thermal protection.

So, any input on the bypass rods with c hooks or any other ideas? It's a nice, but informal room - aqua walls with white wicker an creamy white curtains. I like silver, gray, and copper accents here and a porch-like vibe. That design stuff is beyond the scope of my question really though. Thanks for your input.
