I don't think "outdated" is at all a useful concept here. You are absolutely right that what matters is whether you still love it. If you take it with you when you move, you will likely know very quickly whether or not it fits in your new home.

I realize there are advantages, in terms of money, time and effort, to not moving something it turns out you will discard, but sometimes that's the best, maybe the only, way to be sure. At least, that has been my experience, awkward though it is.

Keep it only if you have a room full of furniture that complements it's style. I would specifically not use it in a foyer as the first thing you see when you enter the home.

These cabinets were popular during the Tuscan trend. Decide if you want that Tuscan style to continue in your home.
