Perhaps you could wall mount an ironing board cabinet with outlet somewhere (e.g., next to the door) and include a wall cabinet above one of the appliances for detergent and other stuff.

2- Is the attic access via a separate ladder or a pull down ladder that needs floor space when open?

3- Is there room for a ceiling fan to speed up drying? Or a wall fan?

Ours is similarly sized, different layout. Used a pocket door to free up room space! Love it!

R/S is rod space. We hang a lot of our clothes to dry.

If you are drying 7 feet of laundry at a time, that will put a lot of moisture in the air that needs to be vented out of the room to prevent mold and mildew. The water has to go somewhere. If you are drying laundry like that now: Buy a $12 humidity gauge and check it over a week or three to see what is happening. There's a big difference in handling laundry indoors in a ranch house in the dry desert or a brownstone apartment in humid Brooklyn.

You need to look at the big picture for ventilation: is there a forced air duct for heated and air conditioned air? You may need a vented exhaust fan, simply keep the window wide open all day in good weather, or put a big box fan in the doorway, pointed out. It would be useful to talk to your HVAC contractor about your options.
