Should we go smaller with the bathroom vanity?

So we have a full bathroom (shown) and a half bathroom.

In this full bathroom we have already taken out the medicine cabinet, vanity and cupboard (see last pic).

Here are the before photos. We got a new vanity (not shown) but haven’t installed it yet. The sink top is about the same size as this sink top but the base is wider so there’s only a 0.5” overhang of the countertop. Which probably is going to make the space more cramped because in these pics there’s a 1.75” overhang (more space below).

Anyway having second thoughts. If we install the new 30.5” similar to this 30.25” top. It would be the same feeling which is workable but also slightly cramped.

If we got a 24.5” there would be 6” more space next to the toilet which would be wonderful. But also the vanity would be pushed over just a little too much and we’d run into the problem of having to move over the light fixture hole 3” to the left since it would not be centered (see last pic).

Dunno what to do? Looking to move into the property for 1-2 years and sell it afterwards most likely. So also want to do what’s best for the future.
