Rectangle vs round handheld for shower

I am picking out the shower fixtures and wondering the pros and cons between the rectangle vs the round handheld for showers. Any suggestions? We are looking at Delta through our plumber.

I would get a round with adjustable stream/flow pattern.

I have only used the rectangular ones in hotels and they weren't great, with no adjustments to the stream.

You also want a bar and clip/holder that project out enough so you can angle the handheld to a useful position.

I used Jaclo grab/shower bars with an articulating ball joint mount that allows the handheld to be swiveled in several directions for maximum flexibility.

We have a rectangular one from HansGrohe that has three adjustable streams. Seems like it's just a matter of preference as to which shape you like better. I agree with chispa about the adjustable bar.
