IMO the mirror is fine the lighting sucks so a nice new bath bar type lighting is a good start use one with LED 4000K bulbs. I would do anice watery blue /green on the walls not white . I dislike rugs on bathroom floors I only use bath mats for the shower or tub . So grat pieces of art you like or maybe even some wallpaper . It would be good to post pics of the whole space also of the bedroom since this is part of the master suite

Replace the pic with a towel ring that will match your new faucet finish. Consider painting the vanity. Use mirrormate for your mirror - for now.

Lala girl thank you for the rec! i do love those faucets- would you do gold or polished nickel? what type of lighting do you think? i was imagining three sconces and two mirrors but with one mirror im not sure what type of lighting to do.

Moving the electrical for sconces is not a budget buster but more expensive than just framing the full mirror (plus i like more mirror in a bath but that’s just me)

i am a chrome girl for faucets - easy care and been around for forever, i would skip gold as it feels trendy to me but just my opinion :)

for the lighting - I would want something long to provide as much light across the vanity - tons of styles, i’d just avoid clear shades bc of the glare

your white cabs and counter feel fresh and crisp so a lot good to work with in the bath

I agree with keeping the mirror. Moving electric for sconces can seem easy until you run into a stud that's in the way. Now you're tearing up drywall and making repairs. How long is the vanity? It appears to be about 60". If so, look for a 48-54" fixture. I would keep the faucets the same finish as the tub and/or shower. Single handle faucets will save you drilling new holes in the countertops.

The mirror looks to be beveled and in good shape. They ate a pain to remove and the wall will need to be fixed. I’d cconcentrate on everything else first. And paint the vanity

In my head i was imagining two mirrors with sconces. Any ideas for the light fixture above the mirror if keeping the mirror? i am not loving any of the long numerous light fixtures im seeing. i definitely want to change out the faucet. i had not thought of painting the vanity- what color would you do? im likely doing white dove on the walls.

I used mirror mates years ago to frame a large mirror and it’s held up over time and still looks great.

i feel like the style i am looking for is hard to find a linear light for. would doing two double over the mirror work ? im looking for timeless/coastal and less modern.

Some of those above seem the wrong height for the space - I could do two fixtures above the mirror - one over each sink - but only if they were pretty simple (I wouldn’t want 4 shades up there but it’s personal)

fwiw we put the above fixtures in our bath 15 years ago (chrome finish) over a large framed mirror (painted to match the custom cabs) and they still look good - not sure if that qualifies as timeless, but generally simplicity ages best

I could also see this fixture from Velora in a pale blue (against white walls) for some whimsy (i might make it longer to exactly match width of mirror, Velora does custom very reasonably)

It comes down to your budget, effort (electrical especially) and taste. Suggest looking on line for SC bathrooms and you‘ll be in a better position on how to achieve some or all ie: wall and vanity colors, hardware, faucets, mirror(s), and accessories.

Only then move forward.
