I'd prob just keep the white. if you do black exterior, you'll have to change out everything else.

but, with that green the black would also look very nice.

another idea is to frame out the white windows w/a 2X1 wood trim and paint it black.

this way you get the best of both looks:

and of course landscaping makes a huge difference in overall curb appeal

(and I'd do something cool w/your back concrete patio like stenciling it w/blk and white designs)

for the inside, what is your style plan?

i love a black interior window but everything else has to work with it

I'd do white both inside and outside. Black windows on brick or dark homes look great, but on light colored homes is a fad that can't go away fast enough for me. I'm assuming that all the windows on the rest of your home are white inside and out, so I'd continue that look.

Will suggest white for the inside and outside window colors. The current white trim works well on the outside. "Outlining" the view with black frames would look hokey IMO. Beautiful view btw.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting Yes, that entire wall will be removed to accommodate the new addition and two-car garage.

I lived with both the door and the window, knowing they would be replaced. The photo was the best picture I had of the color.

I’d lean toward white on the interior and sandstone on the exterior.

Since you’re keeping the existing exterior color, sandstone will probably blend better with the siding and feel more natural from the outside. Black can look great, but it creates a much stronger contrast and may feel a little too modern unless the rest of the exterior is being updated to support that look.

For the inside, white feels like the safer choice. With that much glass across the living room wall, white frames will keep the space lighter and quieter visually. Black interior frames would make the doors more of a design feature, but they could also make that wall feel busier.

So my vote would be:

White interior / sandstone exterior

It gives you a clean interior look while still respecting the current exterior. I’d also ask the builder for actual color samples against the siding before making the final call, because sandstone can shift a lot depending on the light and the undertone of the siding.

White on inside and outside. Black trim is a trend that works better on some houses better than others. I don't think your home is one of them.
