Such a nice room! Just as important as the color of the wood is the style. Also please post a photo of the wall that you want to place the sideboard on. How long is that wall?

So after looking at your added photos, I think you might place a sideboard on the wall that has the plant on it. The wall opposite the window looks like it's a bit far away from the table, and the area looks like it's a hallway or pass through space. But it's difficult to say for sure without seeing either a floor plan or being in the space.

You probably should lower your chandelier too--it is too high and the bottom should be about 30" from the table top.

As far as the color and style, I think one of these might look nice:

Will advise that you match your new sideboard to the dining table and chairs instead of the lighter flooring.

I agree the style is the thing to choose first and a near match is worse than a complettly different choice ,. Maybe one with glass doors and a marble top just saying.

Your current chandelier is not centered over the dining table and is hung too high in the room.

How do you plan to fix the chandelier not be centered on the table?

Regarding the lighting fixture, I do plan to change the fixture. All of the lighting fixtures were in the home when we purchased it. Because it’s an open floor plan and all of the fixtures are the same ornate style, I’m trying to wait until I can change all of the lighting at once. I don’t want the lighting to look helter shelter by having different styles in an open area. I’m also decorating in phases, so it’s on the list.
