Kay: These are lovely especially Fighting Fire. . Glad you got some rain. My clematis here started out great but then a freeze came and set them back. It has been an very unusual spring here.

Thank you Julia. hat is so annoying to have an ill timed freeze. I understand the odd weather; after so many min 80 and higher days, we are now in a cool phase. It is only for a few days but it slows down bloom opening. Fighting Fire took about three extra hours to open today. Oh well. All we can do about weather is talk about it, isn't it?

I like Fighting Fire a lot! Niobe is a nice dark red. We may have light frost Sunday night.

Fighting Fire is a lovely bloom. I have always liked the color on Colorado Moon Fire. My clematis were pretty this year and I love the color of Niobe.

Thank you, Kate. Some of my Clematis have been very pretty, but Josephine was pitiful. Have you noticed that your plants have an unusual amount of scapes this year? Viola Francois has 15 and Clown Parade 18 sofar. Please say yes has 24! That is unprecedented for me. I know others have many scapes but this is new for me.

Your blooms are looking great! As you know, Fighting Fire is one of my favorites. Kiss of Paradise looks good! We had some patchy frost here last night and will be getting it again tonight.

Niobe has been difficult here. Well, increased scapes--must be because of abnormally warm weather. Let us know how bud count is.
