Fast and furious cometh the blooms!’

As Kay can confirm, the blooms are really making a show now. We have had rain for five days so the plants are loving it. Too many to post but here are a few.

Winged Migration has been blooming several days but gave a nice clump today


FFO on Blackberry Dragon. I love this deep rich color


Multiple Multiplications has kept its patterns


Have to post garden named Kate’s Smile! This is such a fabulous plant with these huge blooms


Debra’s seedling. I loved this bloom the first time she posted it. This year it has sent up four scapes and the bloom is huge

    Sherry, I really like Forest God. It is another one that rarely throws a bad bloom.

    The Battle of the Bugs continues. They got to some early cultivars before I got to them. I have to really watch because they can work their destruction in a flash. One bit me yesterday-did not like being disturbed. Their bite is very painful.

      A case could be made that I am too drawn to yellows (and oranges) and should appreciate other colors as much. But looking at your yellows tells me that the heart wants what the heart wants. So vibrant. Forest god appeals to me, but then the soft yellow/orange colors are still in line with my usual favorites. Thanks for the eye candy..........Maryl

      Glad to see my seedling looking so lovely in your garden! I hope when it multiplies enough, you can send me a piece of it. Kara Louise looks perfect, and I love the clump shot of Thistles and Thorns. Mine did not bloom last year, but it should this year. LVT and Stealth Bomber look fantastic together!

      Really nice and lots of color. so annoying that wild Cherry Wine decided to go short and skimpy in our garden's this year, isn't it? LVT and Stealth Bomber look great. empire of Desire is a bright, pretty yellow. Multiple Multiplications is a pretty one. My favorite may be a tie between Thistles and Thorns and Debra's seedling. Pretty post, Kate.

      A nice range of colors. Regina Sitko is filled with scapes (opens well later). Kate's Smile I see is not registered. Golden Hibiscus is showy. It is an evergreen, so I wonder if it did not perform so well for C. I share your enthusiasm for Blackberry Dragon. What was the lineage of Debra's seedling?


      The constant rain here has been depressing, as well as instigating fibro pain. I'm sure that Mother Nature is debiting rain totals for some point in the future.

      Maryl, you know we love our yellows!! I know a lot of people don’t like them but they just make me smile.

      Debra, absolutely you can have some of that seedling back-perhaps this year. It sorta wimped on me last year but this year it’s looking great.

      Kay, yes, I was disappointed in Wild Cherry Wine. It had 4 blooms today and those may be the last. Funny how some do that.

      Mantis, that’s why I called Kate’s Smile garden named. If you remember, you have given suggestions in the past what it could be. The lopidea bugs love yellow blooms and kept it and others totally decimated for years. It is just now coming back on line! Perhaps Debra will pop back in with the cross. If not, I will check it tomorrow when I get back in the garden.

      I’m sorry about the rain pain. I opted for gel shots in my knee and that has worked great so far.

      Mantis and Kate - The seedling is a child of another seedling; Palace Garden Beauty X Karelia. The pollen parent was Subhana Ansari's This Longing.

      Beautiful post! Wow is Blackberry Dragon dark. I like it! Wild Cherry Wine and Retreat Beach are also beautiful colors! LTV really is going strong, and Stealth Bomber looks good too.
