Abid, are these seedlings or sprouts from roots? I thought seedlings.

Floral, my guess was based on what the CP seedlings look like. They spread primarily by rhyzone but they can produce viable seeds that spread via water. The sight looks like it may get flooding. Ive read accounts of Houttuynia cordata resurrecting after being "dead" for 20 years?

Interesting. I've never seen a Houttuynia seedling. OP should be able to tell if they squash and smell one.
