Thanks Maureen. That is really helpful. I would REALLY like to wait until the kitchen is near complete to decided. However, the contractor is pushing for me to make a decision now so the electrician can wire for a single or double pendant.

Thought I was going to have to go with a single because I was focussed on entering the room opposite the range wall and what it looked like from that viewpoint. Because of that, I was focussed on the width of the island being shorter running left to right. Your photos made me realize two could be an option though.

Thank you Design Fan, Using a neutral white Caesarstone for the counters. Likely walnut or oak island top (in the works now). Brass bin and bar pulls for hardware. The entire range wall will be Tesoro Vulcani 6.5" x 15.75" Pressed Matte Porcelain Ledgerstone. There is a small walk in pantry at the far end of the sink wall where we are using one of the original doors with glass panels. I couldn't get AI to generate that. There is no backsplash on the window wall. I wasn't sure if I should include lights over the sink area. Would you suggest it?

Emily although I like those fixtures, I don't think I want to go deco on the lighting. Was thinking something more like lantern style or something in those lines. The more glass the better as I'd like the range wall to be visible and not too obstructed by the island lighting.

if you already have all the recessed lights in place, and just deciding on the island fixture, Yes, I would wait to finish to decide on actual fixture, BUT, I would put only one single pendant over the small island. Centered.

Pendants over an island aren't mandatory!

I have a larger kitchen with 12 ft ceilings and I didn't do any pendants over my island. I have a similar (wider & taller) triple window and I did a pendant over each of the outside windows. I wanted the eye to travel through the kitchen to the tiled window wall and not have the view blocked by pendants dangling in the middle of the kitchen.

Your island is not big. I would do a single light like the one shown. I would also highly recommend the walnut counter for its richness and timelessness. It will warm up the space beautifully.

I think a pendent will look lovely and love a pendent over a sink. I would also take that original door and strip and stain it to match the island top. It will bring such warmth into the space that is otherwise white.

I am not sure if your window wall will really need a backsplash but I would keep it simple on the rest of your backsplash areas if you decide to do them. A simple classlic and timeless subway tile in a warm white is all you need. Let you stone wall be the star.

The recessed lights over the sink may be sufficient light. Light sconces like photo 1 below are popular, just take into account the window treatment, if any, that you are planning to use. Pendants work too if they don’t block the window view.

I like island lighting on a dimmer. I can’t tell from the angle of your photos whether one larger fixture or two smaller fixtures would be better with your sight lines. Clear glass fixtures look pretty but I don’t like the glare/bare bulbs.

Your kitchen choices are fairly neutral. Consider a non-clear-glass fixture with brass accents to pick up your hardware. You didn't say if you were using bright brass or aged brass hardware. Below are a couple for inspiration.

Yes, I would definitely hang lights over the long countertop in front of the window. A real opportunity to showcase the beautiful open window.

Maybe not wall mounted but definitely hanging either pendant or semi flush mount, depending on the style of fixture. Think about lighting the space at night.

just another option for some jewelry for the room. Especially since the window is the focal point of the room... it draws you in closer.
