Yes, but the problem for me is that the top half of the house doesn't mesh with the bottom. They look like 2 different homes. To remedy that, you might consider changing the large window and continuing the gable roof line. Something like this:

Emilys renditions are great the colors are perfect. The issue is in order to achieve the "Elephant Leg" pillars you want without extending the porch is you will have to build you pillar bases out wider than your porch to achieve your goal. Without taking your porch any larger you will not be able to achieve the "elegant Leg" or craftsman style flared posts unless you build the post portion out and to the ground.. I would consider covering your porch skirt with stone instead of the lattice you currently have then build out the areas just at the post locations. as the base of a Craftsman post is generally 2X the width of the top portion. These homes have the post built forward like I am talking about

This rendering shows my concept of tying the upper and lower halves together using color:

• The sage green of the stucco to the eaves, fascia and gutters.
• Clad the posts and beam in the cedar and cedar rails
• The porch and steps in gray to echo the gray chimney blocks.
• A used brick walkway or level the exiting pavers.
