Not necessary for the RO faucet to totally match the primary faucet, as long as they’re the same general style. My RO faucet is close enough in style to the Kohler Artifacts faucet, that the slight difference in finish isn’t noticeable.

RO is rarely needed unless you're drinking virtual seawater out of your well. Standard water filtration is more than sufficient. And you don't get corrosion issues because minerals are being pulled out of your plumbing fixtures either.

40 years of RO systems in two homes. Never had corrosion issues. No wells in my water district. The water just tastes better with RO. And, should there be any kind of contamination of the water, the RO system will take care of it.

And if you aren't careful to deliberately add back minerals, RO water demineralizes your teeth and bones. It is incredibly irresponsible to use it instead of filtered water. It flushes 4 gallons of water down your drain for every 1 it produces.

There are other ways of getting those minerals, ”calcium, lead, fluoride, magnesium, and iron”, into your body…like through diet and supplements.

I’m a lung transplant recipient. Regularly monitored bloodwork consistantly shows my mineral levels to be normal. I eat a balanced diet, and take various supplements. And, at almost 75 yo, my teeth are quite strong, and haven’t needed any dental work in 20 years. So, stop with the fear tactics.

As for water wasted during the RO process, yes…I’m aware, and that’s unfortunate. However, I live in the Northeast where rain and water are plentiful. As an immunocompromised person, protecting my health is top priority.

Since there are fewer RO faucets available, perhaps it would be easier to first choose an RO faucet and then a matching kitchen faucet. Examples:
