Blooming today in Indiana

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get many photos today. It was a perfect day for photography since it was overcast. We just got a few sprinkles and some thunder this evening. The really bad weather is supposed to be here tomorrow.

Rubies and Gold is one of our favorite toothy daylilies. It's a rather petite plant (taking after its pollen parent Happy Holidays to You). I think the red color is outstanding.

Bob love Back Draft. It's one of the first daylilies we ever bought.

Faith Warrior is shorter in our garden than I would like.

Fourth of July in Georgia is sort of a coarse flower, but the plant is really vigorous.

Heman looked great today.

Oklahoma Sand Burr has been terrible the past couple of years. This year, however, it has decided to grow.

Rosie Cotton's Ribbons opened nice and flat today.

I don't love Saber Tooth Tiger, but I don't think Bob wants it to leave the garden.

This is Spots and Stripes. It is supposed to look like this.

Toe the Line was showing the broad white edges on the sepals today.

I've always liked the rather unique color of Weasel Teeth.

This little one is Zowie Batman. It is one of Bob Faulkner's that was introduced after he passed. We bought this at the ADS Region 2 winter conference a couple of years ago. I am not sure it is even available right now.

I got only one seedling photo today. This Bodacious Bite X (My Friend Mary Jane X Crimson Stories). We flagged this one to line out. We don't have stats on it yet, but it is a decent height.

That's a pretty seedling out of Bodacious Bite. I grew Bodacious Bite many years ago. I gifted it on as it was rather blah in my climate. I'm happy to see that it makes a good parent for you......I like Backdraft. The colors are showy and it has that bold open face I like. Zowie Batman is appealing and the name makes me smile.............Maryl

Your post shows lots of excellent toothy cultivars today, but Back Draft is my top favorite of the registerd daylilies. I love the colors and simplicity of the bloom. Of the toothy ones, my favorites are Rubies and Gold and Rosie Cotton's Ribbons. The seedling has pleasing colors and shape plus a great edge!

Rosie’s Cotton Ribbon is my favorite today. I also like the seedling……I hope the stats are good, it would be a nice register.

Toe the Line is delightful. "Petite" means what in reference to Rubies? I see it is registered at 31 inches. Yes, the Bb seedling certainly looks promising.

Mantis, the foliage on Rubies and Gold is rather petite. It sometimes is at danger of getting swallowed by some giants next to it.

Rubies and Gold is striking. I like Rosie Cotton’s Ribbons. Toe the Line is unusual and I like its look. Lots of teeth showing on these photos!!
