I don't want to rub it in ... but we have had a glorious last week. Highs havent exceeded the low 80s and the mornings are very cool. It is 65 deg now at 8am. We had some rain and thunderstorms last night but even still, the humidity has been pretty low.

It looks like next week will be more of the same.

I’m not far from Funky and it has been just beautiful here. Maybe this is our reward for a long, ridiculously cold winter. The worst of summer is usually middle July, between my birthday and my sister’s.

Last week we had some hot days in the low to mid 90’s— on the hottest day I played golf twice and survived but was exhausted the next day. Mostly we’re still in the upper 80’s, which to me is enjoyable.

However, I am now wearing two layers of sunscreen on my face: a silicone application 30 SPF and a tinted moisturizer over that of 46 SPF. And on the bare face before any of that I am using a C/E/ Ferulic acid (Maelove, rec by a dermatologist as the best dupe for skinceutical’s product) as it is purported to enhance and extend the SPf protection of the other products. I’ve made these changes as our summers are getting hotter and I am spending more time outdoors.

Except for some rain and a surprise tornado siren the other night, it’s been pretty pleasant here. So far. The season is still young!

We are 66• right now, but we are usually two days behind you, so the heat is on the way.

High today will be 96, real feel 100+. We’re going to my brother’s today for a barbecue; I’ll be staying inside!

The humidity levels used to be lower here when I was young, now it feels like Houston.

I’m trying hard to convince DH we need to move somewhere cooler.

Lows in the low 70s. Highs in the upper 80s. Right now it’s 75, overcast, and humid.

Been cool and wet with several days when the high did not get out of the 60s. It's currently 60 and supposed to have a high of 70 today. The rain was much needed as we've had extreme drought conditions with a couple forest fires earlier.

3katz are you in Minnesota still? Will you be there all summer? (I sent you something via text btw)

I’m in florida right now taking care of logistis and awaiting our moving van due on Thurs . Its unbearably hot right now. I cant wait to get back to Ct where it is cooler.

I’m near Funky! It’s been so nice. Usually by now the humidity is gross. I haven’t enjoyed summers the last few years. If I wasn’t in a pool, I wasn’t outside if I could help it.

I’ve actually been looking at houses in Maine recently. The humidity and bugs have really worn on me the last few summers. 😆 Unless I can pack up the whole extended family, I don’t see that happening. Plus, taking the kids out of school would be tough.

I’m hoping the weather continues to be beautiful! I don’t know how people live in Texas or Florida.

We had some outdoor concerts this week. Weather was super nice for two of them and then one it was much hotter and humid, but thunderstorms came in and cooled it down but unfortunately they did not let up so the show was rescheduled. Ugh. But overall this past week was pretty nice. I do Zumba outdoors in the mornings and it’s been great. I’ve not needed the industrial fan.

On Thursday the heat index here was 117 degrees-the same day that DH helped DS move into a new apartment. I stayed inside all day! DH was exhausted and slept ten hours that night-unheard of for him.

We have had much more rain than usual (including a five inch deluge early Monday morning). The rain has been very welcome, but not the humidity.

I was just thinking about this, my poor mother. Had 3 kids under 6 years of age and was 9 months pregnant in the middle of July. Oof, that must have been brutal.

Central Oklahoma here.... it's been brutally hot and then last week we had 2 surprisingly nice cool days!

Then last night a brutal storm moved across the state in the wee hours of the night and blew power lines over, blew a train off the tracks and even spawned a few "small" tornadoes.

Now the sun is shining-- and gonna boil all that water we got right out of the ground.

I'd say it's been a typical Oklahoma beginning of summer.

It's been beautiful here. Highs in the low 80s. Very little humidity. Ate lunch outside in NYC on Saturday, went to my son/husband's baseball game Sun morning in jeans and was comfortable, and lunch outside after that. I guess it's ending though. Today is very humid and expecting strong storms this afternoon.
