Better to have a carpenter build a permenant 2 x 3 or furing strip suport structure for the sink holding the lip of the sink securely against the countertop. The Richelieu system will stretch over time and the sink and countertop will separate. This also has the screws for the straps into particle board sides which also might fail.

Sorry Main Line, but wood blocking cannot continuously push a sink against the bottom of the stone the way a strapped sink can. Clips and blocking leak. (I ran a sink replacement business.) If it stretches, which I doubt, give the rachet a couple clicks. I've installed thousands of sinks and have yet to see the screws fail.

Oh, and if your top is engineered stone and you fix mechanical fasteners into it, you've just kissed the warranty goodbye.

So in lieu of using the above Richelieu solution I want to use the Hercules Universal Sink Harness (HUSH) due to its requiring zero clearance on the right side of my 16 guage stainless steel sink. My sink flange (=rim) is 1/2" wide. I can give all the background, but bottom line, I really need to smoosh this as close to the right side of the sink base cabinet as possible. The fabricator, who also sells the granite, requires I use Sinkits Clips (https://www.sinkits.com/sinkits-sink-clips), which take up real estate on the underside of my (future) granite countertop. Fabricaor says they won't install the sink if I use the HUSH. Says I would have to find a handyman to install my sink instead. This is because it’s not what they usually do (which is sinkits) and if something were to happen after install the fabricaor would be liable. I have room on the other three sides for Sinkits. I don't know why, to satify both of us, we couldn't use Sinkits on 3 sides and ALSO the HUSH so I could get the right side of my sink snugged up to the right side of thesink base cabinet. Thoughts? Seems silly to buy the granite from this place (they have it in inventory; others don't) and have another fabricator fabricate it just to get it installed the way I want. Pluse the other fabricator is charging $1,000 more than fabricator who has it in inventory.

Tell your fabricator to skip the Sinkits so your estone warranty isn't voided, and drop the sink into the cabinet before the top installation. Have the HUSH or a couple Sink Straps installed by others.

The cabinets came with decking, which has a cut out for the sink - though I think it needs to be cut further? How do I prep for fabricators to measure? The fabricators use the LT55, a laser measuring method.
