Phillip Jeffries is not a budget option! I priced one of their grass-cloths last year and it was going to be around $7K for a 6' x 7' powder room with 10 ft ceilings, just for the wallpaper. Didn't love it enough, at that price, for a powder room.

It wasn't so much the grass cloth........it was your ceiling height, and the "drops", and the way most grasses are packaged.: ) ...any paper actually.

Its the WASTE the ceiling height causes in rolls/bolt.

Jan, it wasn't a plain grass cloth, which would be much cheaper than the Shangri-la pattern/mural in the grass cloth! The gold foil is probably even more.

@Shazia…. Well, I obviously wasn’t suggesting ”scouring 1,000’s of options online”. Perhaps you might try filtering your options re color, style, material, etc That’s helpful for me.

I just priced a Borastapeter wallpaper mural in their standard paper for my other powder room, ( 5' x 6' x 10'H ), and that is around $1800 for material only. If I decide to upgrade to their commercial quality paper it will be another $300, which I might do as there will be wallpaper next to a toilet.

Some wallpaper brands are To-the-Trade only, but you can usually buy through online resellers and buy samples.

Here are murals I have placed in my file for future consideration. I think they are a bit above what we usually see.

Post a pic of the DR asit usually is please. Muralls come in all price points google murals and find 1000s I much prefer large pieces of art in most living spaces , i do murals sometimes in bedrooms and almost never in a bathroom only wallpaper . That is because in most bathrooms too many things break up the space . I often go to art colleges with clients to see what can be done by an actual artist.See pieces my clients like . I often commission large pieces , even a few painted murals mostly for baby's room

And I love love love wall coverings and/or grand art pieces (thanks for the tip on going to a local art college to commission a piece!). There is not one beautiful wall covering or huge art piece I've done in a home that I've ever tired off...even 15 years later! As long as it makes me say...I love it! I will love it forever. B/c my space is so neutral - anything will work and it's a matter of what speaks to my soul. What I may do is bookmark this convo and wait until our buildback is complete to design the room.

What I'm finding is that I can focus so much better one room at a time. I get overwhelmed otherwise!
